Wait on You

Dear Lord,

Waiting is not always pleasant, especially when I expect an answer from You. Minutes feel like hours, hours turn into days, and days feel like years. I know You have told me to confidently wait on You, and to wait means to be ready to receive Your direction as well as Your blessing. I know it’s not easy to wait calmly when there’s uncertainty about tomorrow. I know that waiting tests my patience, my faith, and my obedience. I ask You to help me, because only with You can I learn to wait on the Lord.

“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.” Psalm 130:5
