The history of the Seventh-day Adventist church is replete with evidence of youth being in the forefront of the mission activities of the Advent Movement. Our pioneers were young when they zealously proclaimed the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The history of the youth department also attests to two youths in their teens-Luther Warren and Harry Fenner; after seeking for God’s guidance, initiated a vibrant youth movement in 1879. SID youth under the age of 30 are challenged to be actively involved in the mission of the church. We promote Total Youth Involvement (TYI) as “We Go” to advance the “Advent Message to all the world in our generation.”
