Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and financial leadership to the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division.
- Serve as a trustee and a steward of the funds it receives.
- Provide the necessary policy and administrative coordination of the Unions, Conferences, and Institutions through a senior financial consultative group composed of Union Treasurers and other Chief Financial Officers.
- Serve as liaison with the General Conference and other World Divisions.
Seventh-day Adventist Accounting Software (SunPlus)
SunPlus (Seventh-day Adventist Accounting Software) is a service of the General Conference Treasury Department. A commercially-produced financial and accounting software package parameterized to meet the Church’s unique not-for-profit requirements, SunPlus is available to any Church organization or institution. Close cooperation with the program’s parent company keeps the system technologically current through regular upgrades.
