Thin but Strong

My Dear Child,

Our fingernails and toenails are made of keratin. Fingernails grow faster than toenails, and toenails are twice as thick. It´s not good to have long nails, as millions of bacteria accumulate. Nor should we put our fingers in our mouths, as we allow these germs to enter our bodies. The hard surface of the nails helps protect the tips of the fingers. Nails, despite being small, thin and colorless, are very important for our body. God was very wise in creating us.

“… His works are perfect.” Deuteronomy 32:4
