My Dear Child,
Have you heard of the Dandelion plant? Many people call it a weed, but it is actually a very good friend to the soil. It usually grows in soil that is very compact or hard, and it helps to loosen the soil with its roots. It also adds calcium to the soil. If you try to remove this plant, it will actually grow even stronger next time. It is one of the first plants to announce the arrival of spring with its blossoms. During the day, the dandelion opens its flowers, and in the evening, when it is cool, it closes them quickly. It provides nectar and pollen for the insects. People use the flowers for food, as they are sweet, and the leaves for many other health uses. God has provided us with many wonderful plants to help our soil and our bodies remain healthy.
“God said, “I have given you every plant with seeds on the face of the earth … This will be your food.” Genesis 1:29
With much love,
