My Dear Child,
We call a large group of sheep a herd. The herd is always well cared for and kept together by a shepherd. This shepherd must be loving, patient, humble, and courageous. In this way, the sheep will always follow him and be safe under his care.
In the same way Jesus is our Good Shepherd and we are His sheep. He loves us so much that He even gave His life for each of us so that we may be saved. Be a good sheep, and always follow the Shepherds voice. He will lead you on a safe and good path.
“I am the good shepherd: who giveth His life for the sheep.” John 10:11
