My Dear Child,
Close your hand in a fist, now look at its size. Can you believe that is about the same size as your heart, and even though it’s small, we can’t live without it. Now put your hand on your chest, just be quiet and feel the rhythm inside your body. Did you get to feel your heartbeat? Did you know that for every minute of your life your heart beats about 100 times? Can you realize how many times your heart beats in a day! Although you can’t see it, the heart is the most hardworking muscle in the body.
There are many good reasons and many more why we must take care of our hearts. That is why God in His wisdom has also told us to take care of our hearts, because He knows how important it is to each one. And how can you take care of your heart? Well, you must eat healthy, drink enough water and keep your muscles active like most children do as they jump and run around which allow for a good flow of blood and oxygen through your veins to each and every part of the body, especially the heart. Also you can take care of your heart by living in peace with those around you. Listening to good pleasant music and having the proper rest at night.
One of the most important things is to be able to tell the Lord that you always want to have a clean, pure heart, and He will be pleased in helping you.
Remember, something very important that the Bible says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23.
With love, Dad/Mom
