The Fast-Moving Hummingbirds

My Dear Child,

Have you seen those small feathered creatures called Hummingbirds? The name hummingbird comes from the humming sound their wings make as they fly. Most hummingbirds beat their wings 60 to 80 times per second. They are the only birds that can fly backwards. They have no sense of smell, but they do have good colour vision. They are the smallest migrating bird and they travel alone. They can’t walk or hop. They drink the nectar by moving their tongue in and out about 13 times per second. God created beautiful, interesting and unique birds. Isn´t it?

“And God said… Let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” Genesis 1:20

With much love,
