Before we had alarm clocks, we had roosters. Some people on farms still depend on them as a reliable way to tell when the day has started. Roosters not only loudly announce the beginning of our day, but they also have excellent memory and can recognize up to 100 human faces around them. They can communicate with other chickens using up to 30 different vocalization sounds. Waking up early every morning, after getting enough sleep, prepares us for a day of joy and success. Let’s practice our own “rooster sound” and be prepared for tomorrow’s morning.
“I will sing aloud of your mercy in the morning…” – Psalm 59:16
