Dear Lord,
I know that love is not a sporadic, fleeting feeling. It is not superficial, indifferent, or selfish. It is a plant of heavenly origin, and of such like beauty and art that the wisest king who ever lived, through words of profound poetic style, expressed himself in the Songs of Salomon. That perfect principle that the Apostle Paul wrote about if in lofty detail in 1 Corinthians. A selfless mandate that Mark reiterated in his gospel. Oh, how important it is to love God and others and even myself!
Lord, teach me and help me to love skilfully so that I can finally make my life a masterpiece.
