Like a Tree

My Dear Child,

Have you noticed how many different types of trees we have around us? Each of them has a variety of characteristics to admire. Some trees have large trunks and others have smaller trunks. Others have abundant leaves, and still others are small. Trees have many characteristics in general: They have roots that grow strong and deep. They grow upward, in the direction of the sky, and can live for many years. They are strong and provide shade when it is hot. They also provide us with wood we can use for many different purposes. How beautiful it is to learn about them and imitate their characteristics in our life.

“He is like a tree planted beside flowing streams that bears its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” Psalm 1:3

With much love,
