Fun Shapes in the Sky

My Dear Child,

The clouds are formed by small droplets of water. Sometimes, they look grey because of the large number of water droplets in them and they can weigh up to 1 million kilograms. That’s really very heavy, it’s equivalent to the weight of 15 loaded trailer trucks. Clouds can produce shadows on land of more than 1,500 km in length. They can also float because the air mass beneath them weighs 1,000 times more than the cloud. The air helps keep water droplets floating. Clouds can also have very nice shapes, have you noticed some? Let´s have some fun as we compare the shapes of the clouds to others things we know.

“He is the one who covers the sky with clouds. He determines rain for the earth. He makes grass sprout on the mountains.” Psalm 147:8
