A Wonderful Machine

My Dear Child,

Today, I would like to tell you some wonderful things about your body… Your smallest bone is in your ear and is about the size of a grain of rice. The smallest muscle, also in the ear, measures only 5 millimetres and is thinner than a cotton thread, aiding your hearing. The ears and the end of the nose have no bones inside. The right lung is slightly larger than the left. There are approximately 60 muscles in your face alone. Smiling is easier than frowning, using only 20 muscles, while frowning takes more than 40. So, smile more often for the wonderful machine God has given you to move through each day.

” Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.” Psalm 139:14

With much love,
