A Greater Star

Children

My Dear Child,

There’s a star you see every day, and it is different from the stars you see at night. Do you know what it is? It’s the sun. This star is so bright, it makes you see everything around you, so as you walk, you avoid bumping into objects. It also protects you from disease.

Did you know the sun is a perfect circle, and is always in motion? It has several layers, and is the closest star to earth. It reaches temperatures that are very high, so living there for humans would never be possible, and neither can we have it a little closer to earth.

Life on our planet need sunlight to grow. This super, wonderful star is always shining. The sun is part of God’s creation and is very responsible in providing the earth what it needs. The Bible teaches: “The sun rises, and the sun sets, and rushes back to where it rises.” Ecclesiastes 1:5. You too can bring warmth and sunshine to someone’s life.
