The Voracious Otter

My Dear Child,

Today I want to tell you some interesting things about the otter.  It is part of the weasel family, but it is the only one that can swim. It needs to eat frequently and hunt throughout the day, up to five hours!  It has the thickest coat in the world. Otters are cheerful and curious. When they sleep in the water, they usually grab each other by the legs so as not to distance themselves and can see better in the water. To communicate with each other they use different whistles. They can stay underwater for 6 minutes without taking air!  Animals teach us very interesting things. God is wise and very creative in everything He does.

“For since the creation of the world God’s eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, from what has been made…” Romans 1:20
