Dear Lord,
Sometimes I raise my voice in prayer, one after another and feel as if my prayers are not heard. There seems to be a silent emptiness in my heart, as I try to find a prompt response to my request. I know that my rhythm in life is not the same as Yours. I am continually wrapped up by daily responsibilities and perhaps all this distracts my attention, so I cannot hear Your soft voice. I know that You are listening no matter the time or place. You respond at the right time, according to Your will. Help me to hear the still whisper of Your voice. Strengthen me to open the eyes and ears of my heart so that I can clearly discern Your voice. Give me peace and help me to tune my heartbeat to the rhythm of heaven.
